Technological innovation

To develop and manufacture the Andaman catamarans, Gilles Reigner, doctor in Physics specializing in dynamic structures and innovation, brought in the solid technical expertise of Alexandre Fortabat, who designed several huge catamarans ...

All our lightweight catamarans are made of sandwich with infusion process, using multiaxial BASALT fibers, KEVLAR, fiberglass, and closed cell DIVINYCEL and ARMACELL core foams. Exclusive use of VINYLESTER and EPOXY resins for the entire construction, which prevents the phenomenon of osmosis.

Furniture and veneers are made from ultralight honeycomb composites with multiple veneers and marble. The use of real marble on an aluminum honeycomb underlines the luxury and robustness of the Andamans. Basalt, carbon, Kevlar and Dyneema which are used for the structure are also present everywhere: carbon tubes, Dyneema handles, Kevlar speakers...

Performance and Safety

In a permanent concern for safety, ANDAMAN catamarans are built according to CE directives and are unsinkable.

Well veiled and light, our catamarans allow you to move forward in light winds. Their robustness is an essential element of safety allowing them to have more options in the face of the vagaries of the weather. The pleasure of sailing is optimal in all conditions. '

The CE * certification of ANDAMAN catamarans allows everyone - owner, user, shipyard - to ensure their reliability and durability.

Comfort

An essential element of the Grand Voyage, ANDAMAN catamarans present all the elements necessary to enjoy a high quality of life:

  • quality of sleep (thanks in particular to the large beds and latex mattresses *),

  • absence of squeaks often observed in a catamaran (thanks to the reduced vegetation and the fully fiber-reinforced construction),

  • minimization of pitch thanks to the centering of the weights,

  • possibility of integrating an electric motor inducing less noise and vibrations,

  • more autonomy

  • more sustainable

  • ventilation: our boats are designed by men who live, sail and work in the tropics with particular care for ventilation and air conditioning. Wide openings exist to circulate the air, and fans are suitable.

  • air conditioners and generators decoupled and soundproofed in order to generate a minimum sound level.
